How We Met
By Ryan • Oct 18th, 2008 • Category: About UsJamie and I met during the Fall Quarter of our Junior year while enrolled in the Informatics program at the University of Washington. We quickly became friends with others in the major and formed the infamous “INFO Crew”. The first compliment that she gave me was “Nice PowerPoint” during a class presentation. That is when I knew we were both equally dorky, as if our major already wasn’t a big enough hint!
We ended up working on several class projects together, studying late nights for tests, saving each other seats in class, and also going out on the weekends. We also served as President and Vice President of our major’s undergrad association and worked together in a computer lab as help desk assistants.
During Spring Break that first year, I took a trip to Whistler, BC for some skiing and racked up some international phone charges because I kept calling Jamie. When I got back, that is when things became official. We started dating late March 2004 and the rest is history!
Ryan is the groom in this whole deal and pretty cool. You should get to know him a little better.

Who was the president and who was the vice president? Just curious for posterity’s sake.
He was the President and I was VP. For posterity’s sake though, I asked him out. 😉
