Irene and Jamie met in 5th grade on the two-square court and they’ve been best friends ever since, bound by copious amounts laughter. Together they’ve been classmates, junior high bandmates, locker partners, co-workers in a downtown tourist shop, and even roommates for two summers when Irene let her live on her couch in college. Irene is truly her friend of friends. Irene lives in Seattle, WA and works as a Print Designer at a local direct marketing company.

Val and Jamie became friends the day Val called her one day in high school and asked, “So… want to go Barnes & Noble or Target?” Whether it’s going out for coffee, reading, taking a walk around U-District, or just hanging out in Jamie’s room while she does chores, Val’s the kind of best friend whose simple company constitutes an event. Val now lives in Evanston, IL where she currently manages a coffee shop.

It all started in the dorms, where Jamie attempted to study near Jules, in an attempt to acquire her well-known study habits by osmosis. What seemed like a solid plan ultimately failed, but little did they know they’d be roommates for the 7 years to follow. Jamie loves their friendship for its unique understanding of having scientists for friends, eating real Chinese food, personal finance software, and using a laundry machine that doubled as a dresser. Jules lives in Seattle, WA and works as a Senior Accountant.

Casey was randomly assigned by UW Housing to be Jamie’s first college roommate. They lived together in a tiny dorm room for 2 years and an apartment with 4 other girls, but more importantly, they shared the experience of building their Seattle community together and making the city their own. Morever, Jamie can’t count the number of times Case has fed her, taken care of her when she’s sick, and brought her countless baked pumpkin goods. Jamie could not have been more blessed to have been paired with her her first year away from home. Casey resides in Seattle, WA and works as a Research Scientist.

Ryan and Jamie met Teresa through their classmate David in college. In the years they have known each other, Teresa’s been Jamie’s go-to girl for shared adventures, whether it’s been for double dates, geocaching, dancing, or being the last two ladies at the poker table. Jamie can always count on her to try new things, like joining a mini-golf league, enjoying a Vegas spa, playing in an online workout competition, to even hip hop dance lessons. Teresa now lives in Tucson, AZ where she is pursuing her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Jamie and Brie met when they were 8 years old and grew up together in a golf course community across the street from one another. Their memories are of jumping on Brie’s trampoline, flashing their bedroom lights to each other to send messages, and stressing over what to wear to the junior high dance. Now that they’re older, the adventures are different (cocktails over tea parties) but the camaraderie is no different. Brie currently lives and works in Seattle, WA.
